It all began with the squirrels, and the fancy bird feeder meant to defeat them. Birdseed kept vanishing all at once, and squirrels aren't clever enough - usually - to understand that hanging from the bird feeder by the outer lever will make it block off the birdseed. What was happening? Were masked banditos raiding our feeder in the middle of the night?
